Allyson welcomes Travelodge jobs

allysonblack.jpgGRANGEMOUTH Labour Councillor Allyson Black today officially opened a new Travelodge. The £2 million facility at Beancross has created 15 new jobs.

Allyson, who is one of the local councillors for the area, opened the 52-room hotel in her role as Depute Provost of Falkirk Council. She said: “As tourism increases in the area, with the Falkirk Wheel, Bo’ness Railway and Callendar House – we need to increase the amount of accommodation we have in the area. Next year, we are lucky to be having the Mod coming to Falkirk. This 52-bedroomed Travelodge is therefore a much-needed and very welcome facility.”

She added: “It brings £2 million of investment, and 15 jobs to the area. The local community, Falkirk Council and people of the area welcome Travelodge to the district.”
