Music Room hits the right note

labourrose-icon3.jpgA NEW music rehearsal space in Bo’ness has been officially launched. “The Music Room” provides affordable facilities for young bands in a refurbished part of Bo’ness Recreation Centre.

The project was developed in a partnership between Falkirk Council and the Cozy Blanket Youth and Music Project.

Rehearsal space will be available from October 1. The space will be free to use for bands under 16 – and at competitive rates for older musicians. To find out more contact Elaine Craig at Falkirk Council on 01324 503741 or email Alternatively, visit the Room’s MySpace website:

The Gauze Road facility was launched at a special event last weekend, which also showcased the talents of four local bands. Among the invited guests were local MSP Cathy Peattie, Falkirk Council Depute Provost (and Grangemouth Councillor) Allyson Black and her Labour colleague, Bo’ness Councillor Adrian Mahoney.
