First Minister: Pensioners better off under Labour

labourrose-icon3.jpgFirst Minister Jack McConnell has told pensioners about Labour’s plans to abolish water charges for the elderly over the next four years. Mr McConnell was making a visit to Falkirk district last weekend. He said: “Our promise is to tackle the burden of water rates which are not included in Council Tax benefit and would help all older people. This would make pensioners in Falkirk much better off under Labour.”
